Owner's description
Whether you enjoy your lazy summer days relaxing on the dock or snuggling up to the stone fireplace on a snowy winter day, this paradise is the perfect retreat from the hectic pace of life. Nestled on a gentle sloping waterfront, this charming, well maintained and fully furnished cottage provides a panoramic view of calm, pristine Carson Lake. This 3/4 acre property is situated at the end of a dead end road, in a quiet, low traffic area. Enjoy early morning coffee, conversation, reading or late evening stargazing from the deck located at the front of the cottage. 120 feet of ultra quiet shoreline is for great swimming, fishing, boating and waterskiing. The weed free, shallow wade entry is perfect for small children. This newly renovated (2011), fully equipped and winterized cottage has vaulted ceilings and wall of windows facing spectacular Carson Lake. A beautiful stone decorated, wood burning fireplace is the focal point in the living area. After an adventurous winter day, the place to cozy up is in front of a roaring fire. The cottage is also heated with convection and electric baseboard heaters. No worries, you will be kept plenty warm until the fire is burning! The kitchen is equipped with new pots and pans, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. A large three piece bath and two bedrooms are located on the main floor. One has a double bed; the other has a twin over double bunk bed. The third bedroom, located in the basement, has a double bed. Blankets, pillows and a set of linens for each bed are provided at no additional cost. Even on rainy days you won't get bored at the cottage. There is an endless supply of board games, VHS videos, DVDs and a 32" TV with VCR/DVD combo and satellite dish. Outdoor furniture includes: a picnic table, lawn chairs, horseshoe pit, canoe, paddle boat with life jackets, badminton net and beach toys. Located 45 minutes east of Algonquin Park, 2 hours from Ottawa, and 4 hours from Toronto. Saturday-to-Saturday weekly rental during the high season. Since our cottage is family owned and lovingly maintained by us for our rental guests and of course our own family's use, families or responsible couples are preferred. Maximum number of occupants is 7. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. An additional $300 refundable damage deposit post dated 30 days prior to the rental date is also required.
